Alana Mathews is the Founder of the Community Justice Collaborative, a grassroots focusing on community-centered justice and safety solutions. She is an attorney and the Director of Membership and Training for the Prosecutors Alliance of California. She previously served as the Chief Consultant for the Joint Legislative Committee on Climate Change Policy, Public Adviser for the California Energy Commission and a former Deputy District Attorney for Sacramento County. She is also an adjunct professor for the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. She also earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.)and a Master of Laws, (LL.M) in Governmental Affairs and Public from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.
